Experience the excitement of an ancient medieval atmosphere in a lodging close to the ancient walls: The ‘Room In the Rock’ inspires feelings of a past time when Tropea was once a walled town.
It is situated on the Via Regina Margherita which is a left hand turn, just before you enter the main historic street of Corso Vittorio Emanuele.This road continues down to a viewing point with magnificent views of the sea, and historic buildings built into the cliffs.
The room is totally independent, and is located on the first floor of the house – the owners Simona and Alberto live on the second floor. The ‘Room in the Rock’has a double bed and a sofa bed with en suite, which can accommodate up to three people.
The owners are available to provide any assisstance if needed. Simona will endeavor to make her knowledge available to her guests, advising places to visit, excursions, shopping and what may be necessary to offer a peaceful and tranquil stay. The ‘Room in the Rock ‘allows pets.
The neighborhood where the room is located is in the city center, just a few metres from the main street and the main square, Piazza Ercole, certainly one of the busiest, on beautiful summer evenings. A few meters away there are shops, bars, restaurants, and steps leading to the nearby beaches and the tourist port of Tropea. The train station is a 10-minute walk away. The ‘Room in the Rock’is in a central location in the town and so a car is not necessary, however it is also possible to park near the house.
